Automatic Chronograph – Burl Wood Bezel
LocMan Automatic Chronograph with day-date, burl wood bezel, stainless steel caseback, and gold-tone dial details, from around the 1990s. Case measures 39.9 mm excluding the crown and 43.7 mm including the crown. Swiss Valjoux/ETA 7750 automatic chronograph movement, 17 jewels.
The cream dial has gold concentric-finish subdials, applied gold baton indices and a tachymetre scale, with gold-tone, blue-tipped hour and minute hands. Central chronograph seconds with a 30-minute counter at 12 o'clock and a 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock; running seconds at 9 o'clock; day and date at 3 o'clock, with a German day display. The polished caseback is engraved 'LocMan handmade in Italy' and '1947'. Fitted with a brown leather strap ('Echt Leder').
Used condition (Good) — visible and tangible signs of wear. The wood bezel surround has a visible crack at approximately 4 o'clock, and shows darkening and surface marks consistent with age and use. The gold-tone lugs and inner bezel ring show scratches and light wear. The polished steel caseback shows fine scratches. The dial presents cleanly. The brown leather strap shows visible creasing, surface wear and darkening, particularly near the keepers and edges. The watch, chronograph and day-date are functioning correctly. Service history is unknown. No original box or papers.
