De Ville Automatic
Omega De Ville Automatic, reference 162.046, circa 1970. Stainless-steel case measuring 33.4 mm without the crown, anthracite-grey linen-textured dial and Omega calibre 1002 automatic movement.
The dial carries applied silver-tone baton markers, matching baton hands and a framed date aperture at 3 o'clock. The calibre 1002 beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and features a quick-set date. It comes on its period Omega stainless-steel bracelet, with a signed folding clasp stamped 1502.
Very good vintage condition and fully wearable. The dial shows light spotting and ageing, mainly around some of the markers and across its lower portion. The acrylic crystal has fine surface scratches and the case shows wear marks and signs of past polishing, with slightly softened edges. The bracelet end pieces sit very slightly proud of the case, a purely cosmetic detail. The movement runs correctly, observed over about 24 hours, and the date works properly. Service history is unknown, so a future service should be considered. Includes spare bracelet links and pins; no original box or papers.
