“Daytona Racer” Chronograph 100M

Seiko “Daytona Racer” Chronograph 100M Sporty Seiko quartz chronograph from the 2000s, featuring a striking black and red multi-layered dial, stainless-steel construction and the well-known Seiko calibre 7T92. The dial is the highlight of this example, combining a deep black base with contrasting red chapter and subdial surrounds, applied silver-tone hour markers and luminous-style hands. Three registers provide the chronograph displays, including the distinctive 1/20-second counter at 12 o’clock, while a date window is positioned at 3 o’clock. The fixed polished bezel incorporates a tachymeter scale, reinforcing the strong racing-inspired character of the watch. Inside is Seiko’s Japanese quartz calibre 7T92, designed for time and date display together with a chronograph capable of measuring up to 12 hours in 1/20-second increments. The stainless-steel case is paired with its matching Seiko-signed stainless-steel bracelet and folding clasp. The caseback is marked 7T92-0HE0, serial number 6D1609 and Water Resistant 10 Bar. The watch is in perfect working order, including the chronograph functions. It presents normal signs of previous use, including fine scratches and surface marks on the stainless-steel case, bezel, bracelet and clasp, consistent with its age and clearly visible in the photographs. The black and red dial remains attractive, clean and highly legible, retaining the strong visual contrast that characterises this model.
