Cauny Prima De Luxe vintage Swiss manual-wind wristwatch, featuring a classic mid-century dress-watch design with small seconds, applied gold-tone Arabic numerals and hour markers, and an attractive champagne/cream dial with natural vintage patina. The signed Swiss movement is marked “Cauny Prima” and “15 Rubis”, while the dial carries the Antimagnetic and La Chaux-de-Fonds inscriptions. The gold-plated case measures approximately 33.6 mm excluding the crown and 35.3 mm including the crown, giving the watch elegant period-correct proportions. The stainless-steel caseback is signed Cauny Prima De Luxe and indicates a 10-micron gold-plated case. The watch retains a particularly characterful original-style appearance, with applied numerals at 12, 3, 6 and 9, dauphine-style hands and a finely detailed recessed small-seconds register at 6 o’clock. Condition The dial shows visible age-related patina, spotting and small marks, consistent with a vintage watch of this period. The applied numerals, hour markers and hands show ageing and oxidation in places. The gold-plated case shows scratches, marks and areas of plating wear, particularly around the case edges and lugs. The stainless-steel caseback shows scratches from use and opening. The silver-tone crown contrasts with the gold-tone case and may be a later replacement.
